Browsing and website operation
Our hosting and network providers process technical request information, which may include IP address, requested address, browser details, time and response status, to deliver pages, diagnose faults and protect the service. Site search and the arithmetic calculators run in your browser; their inputs are not sent to a calculation service by our page code.
Messages and earlier comments
Emailing us shares your address, message and any information you choose to include with us and the email providers involved. The existing web contact form collects name, email, subject and message, stores the submission on our server and attempts an email notification. Earlier comments and their display names remain stored for continuity; the revised guide pages do not embed the former comment widget. Please do not send sensitive information in a general enquiry.
Analytics, advertising and choices
This site does not currently load advertising or analytics tags. Hosting and security providers still process the technical request information described above. See cookie information for the current controls and technologies. External links take you to separately operated websites.
Purposes, access and retention
We use service information to operate and secure the website, answer enquiries and handle corrections. These are our operational and legitimate-interest purposes; consent is used for optional technologies where applicable.
